Fender Super-Sonic Head

$1,700.00 Released July, 2010

Product Shot 1The Fender Super-Sonic Head is a high mid-cost 60 watt guitar amplifier head. Fender promotes this head as their first all-tube amp to offer the classic tube tones of their '65 Vibrolux and '66 Bassman amplifiers, as well as a modern, high-gain crunch.

The Vintage channel allows you to get at the classic tones, whereas the Burn channel gives you distortion. The birch/maple plywood construction of this head makes for a solid sound, clean or overdriven. The 3-button footswitch allows you to easily change from tone to tone. This head differs from the identically priced Super-Sonic 60 Head in that this head has dual cascading-gain preamp overdrive (which offers lots of saturated, distorted tone), but lacks the ivory knobs and color options. The Fender Super-Sonic head is designed for use with the 412 and 212 Fender enclosures. The Fender Super-Sonic Head comes in the blonde color.
