Gibson J-185 EC

The Gibson J-185 EC is a Gibson Jumbo acoustic guitar first introduced in 1951 to offer a broader choice of flat-top guitars. As a successor to the original, the J-185 EC comes equipped with L.R. Baggs Element Active Acoustic Pickup System, which utilizes a low-profile transducer that’s more stable/durable and delivers greater performance.

Included are parallelogram inlays on the fretboard, a ‘50s-style pickguard, and a 4-play top binding. Signature to the guitar are its original Rotomatic tuners with a gear ratio of 14:1; they allow for precision tuning and are thoroughly protected by the housing. The entire unit is coated in an upscale nitrocellulose finish, giving the impression of quality and tradition.
