The gear ratio is 16:1. Another historic element of the Gibson Western Classic Prewar 200 is the flower pot peghead inlay which was on some of the Gibson mandolins produced in 1910. The pickguard is period correct and black, built like one of the first J-200s designed for Ray Whitley in the 1930s. The bracing is hand scalloped to create the traditional lows and fleshed out frequency range.
