This keyboard has forty-nine keys, which means that it is fairly compact. Sounds on the Key Studio 49i include Steinway grand piano (with reverb for added music hall realism), drums, bass, synths, organ, sax and flute. Additional sounds are provided by the included M-Audio GM MIDI Software Module. The Ableton Live Lite music software allows you to record entire compositions. The Key Studio 49i has an integral audio interface (on-board 2-in, 2-out, with CD audio quality), which allows you to connect instruments and microphones to the audio inputs and record. You can record vocals as well as instruments such as guitars. The built-in mini-mixer lets you fine-tune sound levels. The M-Audio Key Studio 49i keyboard has a Piano Reset button that restores default settings.
