Martin OMC-1E
$1,499.00
Released March, 2009
The Pros:Solid spruce top provides a rich, vibrant sound when playing acoustically. Playing electrically almost matches straight up acoustic quality (with quality only really dampened by amp quality). East Indian Rosewood fretboard feels very natural.
The Cons:1/4" input is located in the back strap button, making it difficult to keep a strap securely in place. Built-in Fishman tuner isn't great, only uses 3 LEDs to represent flat, on tone or sharp.
The Martin OMC-1E is a six-string acoustic/electric guitar made from standard yet professional material used to create a clear sound. With a 14-fret body style, the acoustic guitar has a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Rust Stratabond neck and an Indian Rosewood Pattern HPL headplate that creates a comfortable feel and look.

It also has back and sides made out of Solid Sapele and a fingerboard made with Solid East Indian Rosewood. Since it can be used electrically the model uses a Fishman Presys Plus sound system. Part of the Martin 1 Series, the guitar is a traditional model based off others from earlier decades.

Mikki :
#martin_omc_1e Will the laminated neck negatively affect the guitar's future value? I tried the guitar. Love it. Also question if anyone has experienced signs of oil from their arms and fingers transferring to the guitar. One online review made mention of this happening with their omc 1E. Thanks.
