Numark C1
$149.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:Very small construction, great for a portable setup or tight space. Easy to use, everything is obvious and works as expected, no learning curve at all. Audio output is clean and seemingly lossless.
The Cons:Overly simplified, lacks a lot of the functionality of a normal-sized mixer that professionals will want. Hook ups are on top rather than in the back, won't fit on a rack normally.
The Numark C1 is a low-end three-channel rack mixer. This mixer doesn't have extra features such as effects or sampling found in high-end mixers, and a single 5-band EQ is used for the output rather than individual channel EQs.

This makes it appropriate for situations where the simplest possible 3-channel equipment is required, but experienced professionals may want more. Inputs include 2 switchable phono/line, 4 dedicated line, and a mic input. This enables the use of turntables with amplifiers and CD players, as well as a variety of devices compatible with mic ports. Master and Record outputs are both available, allowing the session to be recorded live. In addition, a stereo/mono switch allows the mixer to be used with PA systems that have special needs.
