Product Shot 1The CDJ-400 is a digital media player from Pioneer that offers a step-down from the company's CDJ-800MK2 model and a step-up from the the CDJ-350 model. Optimized for MP3 playback via CD and USB connectivity, this model provides users with a number of cue and effect types for unhindered live performance.

Using the player in conjunction with a second turntable and/or an external mixer unit, DJs can apply real-time digital jog break effects including Jet, Siren, Wah and Reverse. Seamless looping is available via the CDJ's intelligent beat identification software, automatically accessing a section's strongest breakpoints to minimize popping and clicking. Master Tempo control is adjustable through a single locking knob for manual beat-matching, with Fader Start and Relay Play automations offered for smooth real-time manipulation. All applicable CD text and MP3 track data is displayed on the unit's single-line LCD display, providing users with visual confirmation of their current or upcoming track selections. The CDJ-400 also has to the ability to connect and control external DJ software like Native Instruments Traktor or Serato Scratch Live, greatly increasing the amount of live performance applications.
