The SM48 is a unidirectional dynamic microphone from Shure that is designed for vocal applications.  The microphone has a cardioid pickup pattern to reject off-axis sound and provide improved gain before feedback.

  It offers a frequency response of 55 to 14,000 with a brightened midrange that is recommended for lead vocals, backup vocals, and spoken voice.  The SM48 is designed with a steel mesh grille and a shock-mounted cartridge for ruggedness and durability.  It also includes a built-in "pop" filter that reduces breath and wind noise.  The microphone comes with a stand adapter and storage bag and has a 2 year limited warranty.
