Product Shot 1The Tascam DR-08 is a portable digital audio recorder. This is similar to the Tascam DR-07, but uses two cardioid microphones that have variable angle mechanisms to allow them to be precisely aimed at a specific subject.

Recording quality is also higher, ranging from 44.1 to 96 kHz in WAV format. MicroSD media is used here, and new functions have been added including a 2 second pre-recording buffer and a recording timer. Common functions include auto recording mode for recordings that start as soon as the volume is high enough, and low cut filters and noise cancellation to increase the quality of the recording. Variable speed playback is also built in, enabling fast review of the recorded audio.
